OLEC Technology is developing next-generation lighting solutions that are thin, flexible, and energy-efficient, offering an alternative to conventional LED technologies.

Technology

The company’s technology is based on Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells (LECs) featuring a fully organic emissive layer, enabling lighting products to be manufactured in a more cost-effective, sustainable, and environmentally friendly manner than traditional LEDs.

Founding

OLEC Technology originated from research conducted at the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis and was founded in 2023. The company brings together the scientific expertise of the technology’s inventor and researcher, K. Leduskrasts, with the entrepreneurial vision of business partner O. Gūtmanis. To date, OLEC Technology has developed several early-stage prototypes and participated in a number of international accelerator programmes.
