Management
The highest decision-making body of the The National Institute of Research and Innovation (NIRI) is the Scientific Council. The Scientific Council determines the strategic directions for NIRI’s development, approves the institute’s budget, and elects the Director of the The National Institute of Research and Innovation. The members of the Scientific Council are elected by the General Assembly of NIRI scientists.
The Institute is managed by a Director, who is elected by the Scientific Council for a four-year term. The Director of the Institute performs the duties and functions stipulated by the Scientific Activity Law. The Director of NIRI and his or her deputies constitute the executive management of the Institute.
Scientific Council
The NIRI Scientific Council (SC) commenced its work on 24 August 2026. The SC operates in accordance with the Regulations on the Election of the Scientific Council.
